ROLLER HEARTH ANNEALING FURNACE

This installation consists of:
1) An upender feeding coils onto the furnace rollers
2) A six(6) zone gas fired Roller Hearth Furnace
3) A Quench Tank with water spray at the exit end
of furnace
4) A coil downender for positioning a coil suitable for
discharge by fork lift truck
Fiber insulation(4" thick) on the side wall & roof of
the furnace

Exhaust blower 3HP, 230/460V, 18.2/4.1 A, 1725 RPM

Coil Size; 66" (1676.4mm) OD x 30" (762mm) Width x 15,000 lbs

Furnace Capacity: 15,000 lb/hr (of Brass coils weighing 15,000 lb each
heated to a temperature of 1,100 degrees F)
The furnace can accommodate nine(9) 15,000 lb coils on
7.25' (2,209.8mm) centers. The delivery rate will be
one(1) coil/hr and the conveyor speed will be 7.25 ft/hr
(2,2 meters per hour) (1.45 IPM 36.83 mm per minute)
The main furnace drive is equipped with a speed control
unit, so that the length of time a coil can be in furnace
is variable

Working Temperature: 1,300 degrees F maximum

Recirculating Fan: Nine(9) recirculating fans are installed in the roof to
give faster heating and more uniform heating

Burner Capacity: Total Burners (18) heat input capacity is
9,000,000 BTU/Hr (8,348 SCFH).
Each burner has a maximum capacity of 464 SCFH
The furnace is heated by 18 nozzle mix gas burners
located in the roof and firing down between the side wall
and a baffle. the furnace is divided into six(6) zones
as follows:
Zone 1,2,3 each 4 Burners Heating
Zone 4 2 Burners Heating
Zone 5, 6 Each 2 Burners Soaking

Power Supply: Operating Voltage: AC 480 Volts, 3 Phase, 60 Hz
