PAYOFF:
THE COIL EQUIPMENT CONSIST OF TWO DIFFERENT UNITS: THE DOUBLE HOLDER AND
THE TENSION UNIT. THE DOUBLE COIL HOLDER IS A UNIT FOR UNCOILING THE TUBE.
THE TENSION UNIT IS A COMPRESSED AIR DRIVEN UNCOILING DEVICE, WHICH ABSORBS
JERKS EXERCISED ON THE COIL AND CONTROLS THE UNCOILING SPEED. THE UNCOILING
EQUIPMENT IS CONNECTED TO THE CONTROL UNIT OF THE MAIN MACHINE.

TUBE STRAIGHTENER:
THE STRAIGHTENER CONSISTS VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL ROLLS, WHICH ARE USED TO
STRAIGHTEN COIL FED TUBE. EVERY TUBE DIAMETER REQUIRES A CORRESPONDING SET
OF STRAIGHTENING ROLLS.

PINCH ROLL STATION:
SOME LARGE COIL FED TUBE IS INITIALLY STRAIGHTENED BY A PINCH ROLL STATION
TO TAKE OUT THE COIL SET. WHEN TUBE O.D. IS MORE THAN 12mm (1/2") OR IT
REQUIRES ROUND CONDITION, PINCH ROLL STATION IS USED.

THE CUTTING METHODS OF TUBE:

THE MACHINE CAN BE USED ONE OF THREE METHODS TO CUT THE TUBE.

1. THROUGH CUT METHOD:
THE BLADE PENETRATES THE TUBE WALL. THIS METHOD CAN BE USED FOR CUT
LENGTHS OF 200mm (7/8") + LENGTH OF END FORMING. IF ONLY A THROUGH CUT IS
CARRIED OUT, THE MINIMUM CUT LENGTH IS 150mm (6"). THROUGH CUT CAUSES SOME
I.D. REDUCTION.

2. CUT & PULL APART METHOD:
THE BLADE PENETRATES ABOUT 90% THROUGH THE TUBE WALL AND A POWERED MOVEMENT
OF THE OUTBOARD CLAMP PULLS THE TUBE APART. PULL-APART METHOD IS USED WHEN
I.D. REDUCTION NEEDS TO BE MINIMIZED. THE METHOD IS USED FOR CUT LENGTHS
MINIMUM 200mm (7/8") + LENGTH OF END FORMING. IF ONLY AN INCISION AND PULL
APART IS CARRIED OUT, THE MINIMUM CUT LENGTH IS 150mm (6").

3. CUT AND BREAK METHOD:
THE BLADE PENETRATES ABOUT 90% THROUGH THE TUBE WALL AND AN AIR CYLINDER
BREAKS THE TUBE OFF FROM THE SIDE. THIS METHOD IS USED FOR CUT LENGTHS
SHORTER THAN 200mm (7/8"). MINIMUM CUT LENGTH IS 3 TIMES TUBE O.D. WHEN
END FORMING IS USED, THE CUT LENGTH IS MINIMUM 3 TIMES TUBE O.D. AND
MAXIMUM < 200mm (7.2") + LENGTH OF END FORMING.

TOOLING:
THE LINE IS PRESENTLY TOOLED FOR 7.64mm AND 6.36mm TUBE AND WAS PREVIOUSLY
USED ON COPPER REFRIGERATION TUBE TO MAKE HEAT EXCHANGERS AND SKIN
CONDENSERS. THE MACHINE CAN BE RETOOLED TO HANDLE A VARIETY OF END FORMING
APPLICATIONS, INCLUDING FLANGES, COLLARS, NOTCHES, ETC. THE MANUFACTURER
IS AVAILABLE TO SUPPLY PARTS AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE.
