Steps in Continuous Process:
1. Tubes Loaded Into Storage Hoppers via Overhead Crane.
2. Traveling Carriage with Lifting Hooks Shall Load Incoming Tubes
from Storage Area into Dip Tank Containing Drawing Lubricant.
3. Tube Shall Index-Feed Automatically One at a Time into Pointer
Feed Rack.
4. Individual Tube Shall be Fold-Pointed Hydraulically.
5. Pointed Tubes Shall Index-Feed to Drawing Station.
6. Pointed Tubes Are Loaded into Pre-Draw Station for Drawing One,
Two, or Three at a Time.
7. Tubes are Pushed Over Mandrel and into Die Loading Tubes. There are
Nine Potential Load Tubes. (Previous Owner Used Only Six). Selection
of Load Tube is Dependent on ID/OD. Tubes Receive Internal Lubrication
Over Mandrel.
8. Load Carriage Drops into Draw Position.
9. Tubes are Pushed Hydraulically into Die.
10. Tubes are Gripped by Drawing Carriage and Drawn via Hydraulic Cylinder.
11. At Completion of Draw, Tubes Are Dropped Gently onto Discharge Arms,
Which Have Been Indexing Under the Drawn Tube as it Passes by. Tube
Brake Prevents Radical Discharge from Die to Prevent Scratches or
Dog Legs.
12. Drawn Tubes are Automatically Loaded into Feeder for Burr-Free Cutoff.
13. Drawn Tubes are Fed via Driven Roller Table into Entry Pinch Rolls at
Cutoff, then Gripped and Held in Place During Rotary, Burr-Free Cutoff.
14. Cut Section is Discarded Down Scrap Chutes onto Exit Conveyor and
Transported to Scrap Feeder and Bucket.
15. Tube Lengths May be Infinitely Adjusted to Allow for Either End Cuts or
Multiple Length Cuts from 10 Ft. to 98 Ft.
16. Finish Tubes are Transported to Exit Conveyor and then Discharged into
Bundle Storage for Removal.
Number of Operators Required: One
